Kapil Shankar, CEO
Kapil Shankar, CEO
Kapil Shankar, founder and CEO of SiliconBlue, has over 20 years experience in semiconductors and programmable logic. At Xilinx, he spearheaded low cost, consumer FPGA Spartan products. At Lattice, Kapil created ISP, in-system programmable CPLDS. He also worked at AMD's programmable logic division. Kapil has 16 patents in programmable logic. He has a MSEE & MSCS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY and has done his BSEE from the Delhi University.
 

 
Andrew Chan, Vice President, Engineering
Andrew Chan, Vice President, Engineering
Andrew Chan has joined us as Vice President Engineering. He has over 32 years of experience in semiconductors and 30 years in programmable logic. Prior to this he was the co-founder and Vice President, Engineering at QuickLogic. Andrew has 40 patents in programmable logic. He has also worked in MMI and AMD and has done his MSEE from the State University of New York & BSEE from the Washington State University.
 

 
Steve Donovan, Vice President, Sales
Steve Donovan, Vice President, Sales
Mr. Donovan brings more than 25 years of experience to SiliconBlue. At Lattice, he created and executed annual sales plans that achieved revenue and market share growth, culminating in peak annual revenues of over $500M for the company. Prior to his 18+ years at Lattice, Donovan served as the director of sales for AMD and as the country sales manager for MMI Japan. He has also held sales positions at NCR Corporation and Sperry Univac & holds a BSEE Honors Degree from Liverpool John Moores University.
 

 
Michael Hasley, Chief Financial Officer
Michael Hasley, Chief Financial Officer
Michael Hasley is responsible for managing finance and accounting functions at SiliconBlue. He brings 25 years of proven experience in growth company management, including CFO at BlueArc Corporation, CFO at Barcelona Design, and President of R&D Funding Corp. (venture investments). Hasley has an MBA with distinction from Northwestern University, and an AB from Kenyon College.
 

 
Jack Ogawa, Vice President, Marketing
Jack Ogawa, Vice President, Marketing
Jack brings 20 years of industry experience to SiliconBlue. Jack was with Altera Corporation for 16 years, playing key leadership roles in Applications Engineering, Product Planning, Product Marketing, and Sales. While at Altera, Jack spent four years in Tokyo, Japan, working with key customers such as Fujitsu, NEC, Sony, and Matsushita. Most recently, he was with Cswitch Corporation as Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Jack holds a BSEE degree from the University of California at Davis.
 

 
Denny Steele, Vice President, Solutions Marketing
Denny Steele, Vice President, Solutions Marketing
Mr. Steele has over 20 years of industry experience, specializing in the use of programmable logic in high-volume, low-power, consumer electronic products. Before joining SiliconBlue, he held applications engineering and marketing positions at Altera, Xilinx and Philips Semiconductors. He has a BSICS degree from UC Irvine and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
 

 
Dr. D. J. Wang, Vice President, Software Engineering
Dr. D. J. Wang, Vice President, Software Engineering
DJ Wang oversees all software development activities at SiliconBlue. Prior to joining SiliconBlue, he has held senior level R&D management positions at Mentor Graphics, and Chameleon Systems. He has worked on various EDA products such as RTL synthesis, formal verification and high-level synthesis while working for Verisity and Cadence Design Systems. Dr Wang received a PhD from University of Wisconsin and BSEE from National Taiwan University.
 

 
Dr. Michael Herman, Director, Technology Development
Dr. Michael Herman, Director, Technology Development
Michael Herman has joined us as the Director of technological development; he has an experience of over 30 years in the field of semiconductors. He was the Device Physicist on first Intel Flash, the first silicided Mbit EPROM. He has written over 25 Papers in Quality/Reliability, Electron Tunneling, and Optical Properties. He has worked with Intel, Maxim, SST and JDS Uniphase before joining us and has a PhD Physics from Penn State University and BA Physics from Grinnell College.
