Former Lattice Executive Joins SiliconBlue as VP of Worldwide Sales Sunnyvale, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SiliconBlue(TM) Technologies Corporation, a pioneer of a new FPGA technology for consumer applications, today announced that Stephen M. Donovan, former vice president of worldwide sales at Lattice Semiconductor (Nasdaq: LSCC) has joined SiliconBlue. Donovan will be responsible for building a worldwide sales and distribution team, managing all activities related to sales and field-based customer support. Donovan, a seasoned PLD sales veteran, brings more than twenty-five years of experience to SiliconBlue. While at Lattice, he created and executed annual sales plans that achieved revenue and market share growth, culminating in peak annual revenues of over $500M for the company. Prior to his 18+ years at Lattice, Donovan served as the director of sales for AMD and as the country sales manager for MMI Japan. He has also held sales positions at NCR Corporation and Sperry Univac. " Having Steve join our team is a significant milestone for SiliconBlue " said Kapil Shankar, founder and CEO of the company. " The depth and breadth of his experience in programmable logic sales includes thousands of design-ins over a broad array of device types and applications. He is well-versed in building and supporting sales teams and has top-notch experience selling to the global marketplace." " The SiliconBlue team has innovated a new and different technology which allows FPGAs to be used in handheld consumer products — a market largely under-served by mainstream programmable logic vendors," said Donovan. " I am anxious to join this experienced group of executives and technologists to fill this market need with a next-generation product at the 65LP process node and beyond. The potential for this marketplace could well surpass existing PLD forecasts." About Silicon Blue's Technology SiliconBlue’s breakthrough NVCM (non-volatile configuration memory) technology provides both the lowest power and lowest cost non-volatile programmable solution for hand-held consumer products. Manufactured on standard TSMC 65 nanometer LP low-power process technology, SiliconBlue devices are unique among competing handheld products as they are the first to take advantage of the semiconductor industry trend to lead new node development using low power as the process driver. About SiliconBlue SiliconBlue programmable technology will disrupt the way designers of handheld digital consumer devices bring their products to market. Until now, fast-time-to-market, low cost solutions have been designed for speed, costing hundreds of milliwatts standby power, prohibiting handheld applications. A new technology breakthrough, licensed to, and patented by SiliconBlue offers both the lowest power and the lowest cost programmable solution.
